Abstract
From a comprehensive review of the state of the art aboutmobbing, the models used on its quantification were identified. The data analysis concluded that there is a variety withinvariables used to measure the phenomenon; it stands out thatnone of them considers the emotional intelligence variable, northe models’ little gender orientation in organizations, particularlyin public higher education institutions, despite being anotorious sector with a high rate incidence of the phenomenon.A diagnosis was made at Instituto Politécnico Nacional(IPN) Higher Education Institutions (HEI) which revealed thatthere are some variables that could be mobbing causes. Theresearch field analysis allows proposing a theoretical modelabout mobbing among IPN civil servant women. This is a descriptive-explanatory research. This model integrates emotionalintelligence and victims’ and bullies’ personality as determiningvariables.© 2018, Facultad de Contaduría y Administración, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
