Abstract
Las decisiones de inversión en investigación y desarrollo (I+D)son importantes para el éxito de las organizaciones, sobre todopara los centros públicos de investigación. Este trabajo evalúaun proyecto de I+D (mejora genética de semillas) utilizando unmétodo tradicional, el Valor Actual Neto, así como el uso de lasopciones reales. Asimismo, se utiliza la Teoría del ExcedenteEconómico y simulaciones de Monte Carlo para estimar losbeneficios sociales. Los resultados indican que el enfoque delas opciones reales es muy adecuado para el análisis de proyectosen centros públicos de I+D.© 2018, Facultad de Contaduría y Administración, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
