Abstract
Este trabajo expone la reacción sobre la reestructuración empresarialque llevaron a cabo las empresas bogotanas registradasen la Superintendencia de Sociedades de Colombia, parael periodo 1995-2010, frente a momentos de crisis económica.Para efectuar lo anterior, se empleó la metodología de datospanel y revisión bibliográfica; se encuentra que las empresasen cuestión ejecutan procedimientos de downsizing [reestructuración,reducción] dañinos que acortan los periodos de augeeconómico y precipitan el cierre de las compañías, principalmentegrandes y medianas, lo que amplía las brechas socialesy reduce los niveles de calidad de vida de la fuerza de trabajoen la capital colombiana.© 2018, Facultad de Contaduría y Administración, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
